Infinite Campus Parent Portal: Parents are encouraged to access the APS Infinite Campus Parent Portal to see their child’s schedule, attendance, grades and upcoming assignments. Parents will need the Student Number found on the student’s report card or transcript, and the student’s social security number (SSN). If the parent did not provide the child’s SSN at enrollment/registration, the parent will need to contact the school’s main office during open school hours to get their child’s assigned SSN-like number. This number cannot be provided over the phone.
Text Messaging: Text messages are sent to communicate school information, such as Lion’s Roar, late buses, school closures, emergencies, and other important school/district information. Text messages will be sent to the parent/guardian cell phone numbers listed in the Parent Portal in Infinite Campus.
Friday Folder: Teachers will send home important information in the Friday Folder every week. Please check this and return it every Monday. Friday Folders are provided by the E. Rivers Education Foundation.
Website: This is a great place to start looking for information on the school, PTA, E. Rivers Foundation, school calendar and links to other valuable information. We also to bookmark the APS Website.
Social Media: E. Rivers is on Facebook or Instagram.
PTA Meetings: The PTA works to keep parents informed, raises money for student activities, plans teacher appreciation events, and supports the school administration and teachers. Paid members of the PTA may vote on how the PTA will spend the money it raises. Membership is only $5, and members receive a brand new car magnet to show support for E. Rivers. To join, visit the PTA page or see the Welcome Desk for a form for cash or check payments.
Visit E. Rivers: The parent will need to present a valid photo ID at their child’s assigned school. Please also make sure that your contact information is correct with the school, so that we can contact you in an emergency.
NAPPS: The mission of North Atlanta Partners for Public Schools is to increase community awareness and support for North Atlanta cluster schools. See the website for the schedule of their monthly meetings.
GO Team: The GO Team works with school leadership and the community to help determine the long-term direction of the school, design innovative solutions to increase student achievement, and serve as school ambassadors to the local community. Learn more about our GO Team and its meetings.
E. Rivers Education Foundation: EREF was established in 2011 to fill a need to fund the most effective instructional programs, technological advances and teach training. Classroom and school-wide enrichment made possible through private funding is a large part of what supports the educational experience each child receives at E. Rivers. Every child in every classroom is benefitting from the financial resources given to EREF by parents, faculty, friends and business partners. Our annual fundraiser, Lion’s Pride, will be in September. Be on the lookout for more information soon. Learn more about EREF.
