Accelerated Reader (AR)
We will be using the Accelerated Reading (AR) program to encourage children to read and take AR quizzes. Students will earn points as they read and take AR quizzes. The points will add up to prizes at every grade level.
Each quarter, Ms. Boston rewards students who meet his or her grade level AR goal. Rewards have ranged from an ice cream party to a field trip to see a Georgia Tech basketball game!
We want to create a culture of reading in our school and develop a love for reading in our students!
AR Tests can be taken at school or at home. The children are given time throughout the day to take AR tests. Students may come to the media center in the morning before school to take AR tests.
