Media Center

Welcome to the E. Rivers Media Center!

The Media Center is open daily from 7:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. for book checkout and library visits. Students may check out 2–3 books for up to two weeks. If more time is needed, books can easily be renewed for an additional two weeks by stopping by the Media Center.

Students will attend Media Classes with Mrs. Boston, where they’ll participate in engaging lessons such as:

• Digital Citizenship

• Research Skills

• Using Educational Apps in myBackpack (Canva, Book Creator, MyOn, AR, Sora, and more)

• Literacy and Reading Enrichment

Students are encouraged to read regularly and take Accelerated Reader (AR) quizzes to build reading comprehension skills. Each grade level has specific AR goals, and students who meet their goals will be invited to a special AR celebration at the end of each quarter!
